Help Your Young Female Athlete Become Better, Faster, and Stronger in Their Sport While Reducing the Risk of Serious Injury

If you’re the parent or coach of a female athlete, you know how important their sport is to their overall happiness and well-being. But what you may not realize is that young women have a dramatically higher risk of sustaining serious knee injuries than their male counterparts—particularly those who engage in soccer, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse, and gymnastics.

ACL Injury: The Game Stopper

The most common—and devastating—of these injuries is injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). An ACL injury can result in significant pain and swelling, up to 12 months of off-the-field rehabilitation, possible costly surgery, and an increased risk for secondary injury or knee replacement later in life.

The good news? Studies show that certain exercises can help prevent ACL injuries while also improving an athlete's speed, agility, and overall performance.

Introducing the ACL BE FAST Training Program

Brought to you by Balance PT and Health Science, the ACL BE FAST program uses science-based, personalized training to help female athletes enhance quickness, speed, and power while decreasing their risk of getting hurt. Participants in the program learn:

  • Safer landing and jumping techniques
  • Techniques for safer cutting and changing direction
  • Proper warm-up, stretching, and cool-down techniques
  • Proper movement form and athletic stance
  • Plyometrics training to boost muscle strength and agility
  • Balance training
  • Basic and advanced strength training

What Are the Benefits of the Program?

At the end of the ACL BE FAST program, athletes will have gained skills to make them a force to be reckoned with on the field or court:

  • Stronger core and better balance
  • Improved body awareness and athletic form
  • Explosive jumping abilities
  • Quicker and safer cutting skills
  • Greater confidence in all aspects of their life

Graduates of the program are armed with everything they need to know to be at the top of their game and achieve their sports-related goals.
